The festivities will be a bit spread out but we recommend staying in Easton, Md as we'll have a bus going to the wedding from Easton. It's a super cute historical town with gardens, art galleries, cobblestone streets, shopping, and a plethora of yummy restaurants and bars. The Tidewater Inn, Easton MD is the recommended hotel for friends. This will be 'the party location' that is walkable to many bars. The wedding bus will pick up and drop off here. The Inn is really classy and nice but being historical the rooms aren't massive. We have a room block but it's not a huge block and there is limited inventory in each type of room. The block rates are Double = one double bed in the room @ $185.00 per room, per night King = one king bed in the room @ $185.00 per room, per night Double Two = two double beds in the room @ $185.00 per room, per night King Jr. =King bed with separate sitting room @ $225.00 per room per night The Hampton Inn, Easton, MD is the recommended hotel for family. It has bigger rooms and is a 5 minute drive from the town center (where there is plenty of free parking). The wedding shuttle bus will pick up and drop off here. The block rate is $179 (but they may give a AAA discount) for one king or two queen beds. Bishops House B&B, Easton, MD is a nice little B&B about a 5-minute walk from the Tidewater. If the Tidewater if full, this is the next for friends to book. Call Diane at 800.223.7290. Rates are $185 or $195/night depending on the room. Downtown Easton has a number of really nice and cute B&Bs. They are all walking distance to the Tidewater Inn and tend to book out quickly. Here are some that we liked (but we didn't look at any rooms) The Hyatt, Cambridge, MD is a lovely property right on the water with a few pools and restaurants. The rates are $275 and it's a bit isolated from the town of Cambridge. There are other hotels in Cambridge that lack charm and a downtown but they are cheap and will get the job done. They are the closest for driving to the wedding and rehearsal dinner. St. Michaels is a quaint waterfront town about 20 miles from Easton with a lot of higher end accommodations. |
